Emmett Ahearn Joins LEO A DALY As Director Of Federal Programs For Washington, D.C. Office

(WASHINGTON – May 12, 2014) International architecture, planning, engineering, interior design and program management firm LEO A DALY welcomes Emmett Ahearn, as the new Director of Federal Programs for the Washington, D.C., office. Ahearn will oversee the D.C. team in executing federal projects and in pursuing new business opportunities.

Ahearn will be responsible for delivering value added solutions within the federal market sector by identifying, developing and delivering strategic level guidance to key government clients. His portfolio includes complex government agency headquarters, multi-phased modernizations, classified training facilities, US embassies, Federal courthouses and military aviation facilities. With 30 years of experience on over 30 million square feet in the design and construction industry, he is an expert in Design Build, GSA’s Design Excellence program and high performance, sustainable and mission-focused workplace strategies.
Most recently Ahearn was a Vice President and Director of Federal Projects for Moseley Architects where he worked across six offices re-instating a federal practice with expertise to win several Army and Navy contracts. He created value for Federal clients through the development of first-of-kind LEED Gold / Platinum projects, through improving energy performance metrics and through the promotion of new technologies to meet strict federal project performance criteria. Prior to that role, he was the Vice President and Eastern Division Leader/Office Leader for HNTB Architecture. Ahearn returns to Leo A Daly’s Washington, D.C. office where he was a Director of Business Development.Ahearn received his dual architecture degrees from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. and has American Institute of Architects (AIA) Executive Leadership Training. He is a supporter to several Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) regions, the Design Build Institute of America and numerous federal design groups and associations.
