Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek immerses visitors in fashion, fun, and fantasy

LEO A DALY’s lobby remodel for Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek invites guests into a chic fashion-inspired bar and lounge connected with the outdoors, and suffused with natural light and color. Located near Walt Disney World, the lobby immerses visitors in the fashion, fun, and fantasy of the Orlando. Hotel Business Design interviewed Pat Miller and Lara Rimes about the design.

LEO A DALY worked with GEM to re-imagine the lobby space with multiple layers of seating, from see-and-be-seen to more intimate spaces for private conversation or impromptu business meetings.  An expanded bar is the focal point of the space, providing unobstructed views to the terrace beyond. The new, open floor plan creates continuity between the lobby, bar and lounge areas, draws guests in, and transports them back in time to Orlando’s golden age. Expanded seating areas, relaxing screened patio with fire pits and pool views, and an open floor plan brings the outside in and encourages mingling and movement.

Welcoming guests into the space are luminous ceiling murals, which set a tone of dreamy nostalgia perfect for its Disney-adjacent location. A bathing beauty in a retro swim cap blows an underwater kiss, enticing the visitor from check-in to the bar and lounge. The murals’ palette of pool-blue and lipstick-red repeats throughout the space, creating pops of color that stand out against a neutral palette of warm taupe. The rich geometry of the carpet, tables, and screens recalls the glamour and luxury of a high fashion cocktail dress. Screens glow like lanterns to create a focal point in the lobby and cozy banquette seating in the bar.
