LEO A DALY Omaha Appoints Michael D. Huffstetler, Assoc. AIA, LEED® AP, as Federal Programs Market Sector Leader

(OMAHA, Neb. – Jan 10, 2014) The Omaha office of international architecture/engineering firm LEO A DALY appoints Michael D. Huffstetler, Assoc. AIA, LEED ® AP, as market sector leader for federal programs.
Huffstetler will be responsible for cultivating business opportunities within the federal market sector by identifying, developing and managing client relations with key agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, General Services Administration and the Department of Homeland Security. He also will be responsible for leading Omaha’s federal team and integrating it with federal teams from other offices.
Huffstetler has more than 27 years of experience in the design and construction industry. Before this position, he served as LEO A DALY’s international director of operations responsible for ensuring standardization and consistency in all international project pursuits and project delivery processes. Previously, Huffstetler served as senior project manager and team leader of the firm’s Omaha office, overseeing a multi-discipline production staff of 34. Prior to that role, he served LEO A DALY’s Miami office as director of operations, spearheading federal and aviation projects in South Florida and Panama.

A former Air Force officer, Huffstetler served 10 years as a technical and project manager for the U.S. Air Force at multiple installations and as an exchange officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, supervising design and construction projects in the Middle East and various projects under the Pentagon Renovation Program.Huffstetler received his Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He is an associate member of the AIA, and a past board member of Junior Achievement of the Midlands, Inc.
