Melissa Bennett joins LEO A DALY as Education Market Sector Leader

LEO A DALY has hired Melissa Bennett, AIA, as market sector leader for Education. She will be in charge of strategy, business development and design excellence for education projects in our Washington D.C. office.
“Melissa’s passion for education is contagious, and her deep knowledge will be a great asset to our design teams and our clients,” said Rick Thompson, managing principal of the D.C. office.
Bennett bring 30 years of experience working with variety of public and private institutions of higher education, and has a particularly deep expertise in academic libraries and campus planning. Bennett serves leadership roles in the American Library Association, the Society of College and University Planning, CREW Women in Real Estate, and the American Institute of Architects. She joins from Dewberry, where she was Program Manager for Federal Architecture.

The LEO A DALY Washington D.C. office is currently working on a number of high-profile education projects, including the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University, the Wilson School in Arlington, VA (with associate architects BIG), and the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland.
