Pat Lenaghan to present on biocontainment at ANCC National Magnet Conference 2015

LEO A DALY's Pat Lenaghan, MSN, RN, NE-BC, FAAN, will co-present "Design and Implementation of the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit Using Magnet Concepts" at the ANCC National Magnet Conference, October 9 in Atlanta, GA. She will be joined by Angela Vasa, BSN, RN, CCRN and Morgan Shrader, BSN, RN, of Nebraska Medicine.
This session highlights the successful development and implementation of the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit. Since its launch in 2005, staff have safely and successfully treated repatriated Americans with the Ebola virus. The presentation articulates how staff nurse-driven committees guide the project from physical design, standards, hiring, and competency decisions to safety and security.
