Leo A Daly answered the demand for increased energy responsiveness: this building was one of the first to incorporate an ecological response. Burying the bulk of the addition and positioning skylights at ground level reduced energy requirements while also sustaining architectural expression.

1979 Lockheed, Sunnyvale, CA

A winner of awards for both design and energy efficiency, this significant building incorporated a completely fresh approach to daylighting, landscaping and office design that allows for quick interior space reconfigurations.

1982 E Award from US Department of Commerce

Leo A Daly was the first architecture firm to receive the E Award, a prestigious honor given to companies for exporting goods or services.
