As managing principal for the LEO A DALY Dallas office, where hospitality is the largest market sector, Ken Martin reviews the talents that are in place, sets the overall vision for where the team wants to go and what it wants to be and rallies everybody behind that vision.
Throughout Ken’s more than 25 years of experience in convention center and hospitality design, he has learned how to ensure that all user groups have input on a facility’s design and functionality. He is passionate about incorporating changing technologies and guest travel trends into hospitality design to lead innovation in the industry.

Larry has been involved in the development of numerous project types, from public and institutional to commercial and retail, as well as large-scale prototype development and rollout programs. He provides continuity for all projects by maintaining active involvement, from conceptual design through project completion. Larry’s responsibilities include management of the design team and project consultants, monitoring projects for compliance with budget and project staff and resource allocation, as well as oversight of project team efforts, coordination of work across disciplines and review of the design documentation process. Based on the concept of client service, Larry focuses the team’s efforts on delivery of a project that satisfies the aesthetic and financial goals of the client.
Pat Miller is an industry leader in hospitality design with a rare ability to develop innovative solutions to the financing, teaming, and problem solving needs of developers, REITs, and hotel companies. Over the course of 30 years, she has developed a reputation as a valued resource and confidant in the creation of solutions for hospitality opportunities, and is often asked by repeat clients to write complete programs. Under Pat’s leadership, LEO A DALY has been consistently recognized by top-tier hospitality magazines as one of the leading design and architectural firms in the industry.
Tracey Bush, RID, LEED AP
Director of Business Development
Tracey has spent more than 20 years in design and business development for the global hospitality market. She believes that in the hospitality industry, it’s always about people – the experience we can deliver to clients so they can best serve their guests.
Tracey combines design thinking with business strategy in her approach, and believes success is a result of strategy and persistence. She translates the languages of design and business to focus our team on the best return for our clients’ investments.
Since joining LEO A DALY nine years ago, Tracey has developed countless industry relationships needed to bring a concept for a hotel to the finish line. Significant pursuits include the addition to the historic Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego and the Omaha Marriott Capital District.
Kathy A. Chavez
Director of Hospitality Interiors
Kathy works closely with her clients to understand and achieve their project goals. Her strengths include team building, project planning and program design for a wide range of hospitality clients and project types across the United States and globally. Kathy’s proven track record for assembling and supporting project teams that implement the highest level of design quality is evident in her lasting relationships and multiple repeat clients.
As Director of Hospitality Interiors, Kathy oversees quality assurance and quality control for hospitality interior design projects. She is responsible for all facets of interior design, including programming, space planning, schematic design, design development and design presentations.
Rebecca A. Davis, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP
Principal Market Sector Leader - Healthcare
Rebecca Davis guides strategy and business development for our growing healthcare team in the Dallas studio.
During her 20 years of practice, Rebecca has been dedicated to the planning, design and management of healthcare projects, with a passion and expertise in behavioral health spaces, oncology and support services departments, such as labs and pharmacies. Her portfolio includes more than 6 million SF of facilities, from small renovations and community hospitals to specialty medical centers and research facilities.
Mike Ford brings his design expertise and 14 years of experience to the team. He works with clients to tell their stories and bring their goals to life, while working with our team to document and execute the design. Mike's innovative design ideas have contributed to the success of many projects. His creativity, passion for discovery and attention to detail are an asset to any team.
Frank Harker brings more than 10 years of hospitality experience to the team. He designs spaces that align with the owners' goals and showcases their unique visions.
Clients appreciate Frank's creativity and dedication to ensuring a purposeful, yet experiential stay through attention to detail and originality. His expertise allows him to play with unexpected ideas and combinations, creatively finding solutions to even the most complex design criteria.
Michelle R. Holmes, RID
Senior Interior Designer
Michelle Holmes uses her understanding of standards, industry trends and product knowledge to design creative spaces that will not only impress guests, but also withstand the tests of time.
Michelle focuses on creating an experience that will represent the owner’s goals while providing the desired return on investment. Some of her recent projects include the Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District and the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes, which was chosen as a finalist in BDNY’s Gold Key Awards.
Ryan D. Martin, AIA, NCARB
Director of Design - Hospitality
Ryan Martin approaches every project with an inspiring, collaborative mindset to achieve that perfect design. His vast experience in architecture ranges from boutique and luxury hotels to the development of full-service conference hotels and resort master plans. Ryan's experience reaches projects globally—from Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico and Dreams Las Mareas, Costa Rica to the Aurora Gaylord Rockies Hotel and Conference Center, Colorado. With such an extensive background in all phases of design from concept to completion, he is often viewed as a mentor to design teams.
Lara A. Rimes, RID, LEED AP
Senior Interior Designer
Lara Rimes’ strong sense of design and award-winning hospitality experience has been an asset to LEO A DALY for the past 20 years. Lara draws on her knowledge of the industry to introduce future trends and implement successful guest environments. Her designs illustrate a creative flair in the selection of finishes and a strong sense of color.
Lara’s projects include The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California and the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Courtney Taylor brings 20 years of hospitality design experience to the firm in her role as a senior project manager. Because of her background in both architecture and interior design, Courtney sees the holistic view of a project and coordinates each discipline to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She fully understands the importance of prioritizing a client’s project goals and design vision. She is also exceptional at managing high-profile projects of varying skill and leads the team to ensure it is meeting milestones and goals, while staying on budget.
Courtney’s approachable nature fosters great relationships – client, consultant and colleagues alike. Since joining LEO A DALY, Courtney has led many successful projects, including an extensive renovation at the DoubleTree by Hilton Newark Airport, which transformed the guest experience.
