Community Services Building

Burbank, California

The new community services building houses the Planning and Building Divisions, Public Works Department, and Parks and Recreation Department. The project incorporates a number of sustainable design strategies to lower energy consumption, minimize the impact of the building on the environment, and to improve the indoor environmental quality. The ground floor features a public permit counter at the base of a daylit atrium, and includes daylight harvesting control systems, water conserving fixtures, and high efficiency mechanical equipment. Due to the many sustainable elements, the building is LEED-NC Gold certified.
