City Hall and Police Station
North Port, Florida
LEO A DALY completed full programming and architectural design for a city hall building and adjacent police station. After completing a current and future needs assessment for the city, a program was established as a guideline for the design, which allows for future growth and flexibility.
The 65,000-SF city hall houses the offices of the city clerk, the utilities department, and council chambers. Planning and zoning, finance, data processing (M.I.S. & G.I.S), administrative spaces, and the city manager, city council, and legal departments are also located in the city hall. The 32,000-SF police station, located adjacent to the city hall building, provides a crime and forensic sciences laboratory.
