Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Designers developed a monetary theme for this hotel, originally built as a bank, that is prevalent as each guest rides an elevator covered with a graphic screen print of stylized U.S. currency. Bold, geometric patterned carpets guide guests to their rooms. Signage features portraits of significant historical leaders including Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, William Penn, and James Madison.

Upon entry into each guestroom the monetary theme is present throughout, with modern artwork involving stylized versions of Benjamin Franklin from the $100 bill and large pieces of art using stamps and coins as a focal point. Designers brought the city to life inside each guestroom through accent pillows featuring carefully selected phrases about Philadelphia and black and white photography featuring prominent locations of the city.
