Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center Clinic and Office
The Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center was built in 1984 and is physically connected to the Juvenile Justice Center, which provides court services and court support spaces. The center is a secured detention facility for juveniles serving sentences within the criminal justice system.
LEO A DALY was contracted by Hennepin County to complete the schematic design for the full renovation of the training and staff space, and the medical intake clinic, which supports intake and mental health screening and medical services to juveniles held in detention. The medical unit is located within the secured zone of the detention facility.
We also provided limited security services and detention grade specifications for equipment and finish upgrades. The team worked with the county on an update to the entrance lobby and public toilet room, and a remodel of the fourth-floor office space into upgraded offices and training area.
