Client US Defense Intelligence Agency

Intelligence Community Campus Bethesda

Bethesda, Maryland

The campus will house 3,000 intelligence workers who were temporarily relocated to Ft. Belvoir, Virginia when the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) vacated its facility in Bethesda, MD. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is redeveloping the property as the Intelligence Community Campus-Bethesda (ICC-B). The new ICC-B campus will consolidate several administrative and intelligence functions, and efficiently reuse existing government facilities by removing one building and connecting three others. Other tasks include renovating existing building exteriors and completely landscaping the site to fit within the neighborhood context. Plans include the construction of a LEED Silver certified central hub to be known as the Centrum building. All renovations and upgrades will meet current safety codes and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
