Lockheed Martin Center for Leadership Excellence

Bethesda, Maryland

Three interconnected structures create a unique, relaxed learning environment while highlighting Lockheed Martin’s technology-centric mission and culture in this Center for Leadership Excellence. LEO A DALY’s design provides a training center, private hotel, corporate conference center, 250-seat auditorium and a 300-car, tri-level parking structure.

The eight-story, 200-guest room hotel includes a central dining area, fitness and recreation rooms, a business center and “Great Room” open space for informal gatherings and social events. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room provide natural light and views of the outside reflecting pool.

The conference center houses classrooms, breakout rooms and support facilities on two levels in a U-shaped configuration. A central multi-purpose event space serves as a lounge with the flexibility to hold larger gatherings. The event space features 25-foot high ceilings and is the largest gathering space in the complex. The attached 250-seat auditorium provides extra space to support conference and meeting needs that cannot be sufficiently met within the original headquarters facility.
