McCarran International Airport (LAS) - Satellite D

Las Vegas, Nevada

Due to a growing population and tourism demands, a 26-gate terminal, Satellite D, was added to McCarran International Airport. The terminal design features a swooping steel and glass envelope, with a visually compelling exposed steel tube truss system. This X-shaped satellite includes aircraft parking positions and hold rooms, and expansion of the main terminal baggage claim building. An automated transportation system platform was built in the main terminal to accommodate passenger transfer to Satellite D, and one-half mile of infrastructure connects the central plant to the terminal. Later, we completed a flight information display system and baggage information display system in both the new and existing terminals.
