The Melreese Golf Course Club House, situated on an open site of approximately 3.3 acres, contains approximately 17,500 square feet, of which 8,900 SF are indoors while the remaining spaces are outdoor breezeways, a courtyard and covered perimeter walkways. This facility is located in the Grapeland Heights neighborhood with easy access to Douglas Road and Miami International Airport.

Prominently sited on a highly visible parcel, the club house is a composition of two main buildings defined by three distinct gabled roof elements. The third high roof canopy shelters the main central breezeway which opens up to grand views of the golf course while providing an elegant entrance.

A landscaped forecourt, off the Douglas Road entrance serves to screen a convenient 123-car parking lot allowing for a seamless transition towards the open expanse of the golf course beyond. Given the building's orientation, the sides of the complex, which are also adjacent to activity areas, such as tennis courts, driving range and a future golf academy are where service functions are located.

The layout of the facility responds to the requirements of its program, organizing it in two principal massing elements. One block, approximately 2000 SF, houses the dining room and bar. Up to 148 guests can be accommodated in the dining room proper with another 66 guests outdoors in the covered courtyard with its supporting full-service kitchen and ancillary storage areas.

The other block contains the 1000 SF Pro-Shop and related support areas that serve as offices, club rentals, Men's and Women's bathrooms, shower and locker rooms as well as storage areas.

The main central breezeway and courtyard, serving as an east-west axis, connects these two elements, encourages air circulation and provides for an outdoor dining area.

The City of Miami, along with the design team, through the use of sustainable strategies in the building's design and construction, garnered sufficient credits to be awarded United States Green Building Council LEED certification.
