Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort
Amelia Island, Florida
Dubbed a "Re-Imagination" by Omni, renovations include lobby, restaurants, guest rooms, gift shop, conference room and ball room spaces. The lobby space features dramatic floor-to-ceiling ocean views with the eye immediately drawn to a light fixture mimicking driftwood. Reception desk design is reminiscent of ocean waves crashing on the sandy beaches located directly off the hotel patio.
In addition to remodeling the resort’s seven existing restaurants, designers assisted in the addition of a collection of new, more diverse dining experiences. “Seaglass” contains a comfortable lounge area with plush furniture of soothing beige and soft goods featuring vibrant sunset orange. A new poolside, open-air restaurant offers a relaxing oceanfront atmosphere. Natural light highlights the neutral color palette of light creams and beiges with a bright sky blue pop of color. The high exposed beam ceiling adds a sense of space and a pavilion feel.
Guest rooms continue the beach house feel with a sandy color palette, wicker furniture accents, bright white cabinetry and light wood flooring. A newly renovated off-site restaurant features colors of the sea with bright greens and blues, and medium brown rustic wood accents in both ceiling beams and a dividing wood plank wall.
