Client Reno-Sparks Indian Colony

Tribal Health Center

Reno, Nevada

The freestanding, two-story ambulatory care center was designed to replace an existing facility. The design provides views of the Truckee River from the waiting rooms and major circulation areas. A large landscaped garden, located outside of the waiting areas, provides a children’s play area and space for social gatherings and events. Working with tribal representatives and AmerINDIAN Architecture, a Native American Indian architectural firm, we identified important tribal history, symbols, and cultural concepts to incorporate into the design.

The clinic offers various services including primary care, radiology, lab, diabetes treatment and prevention, mental health, eye care, audiology, and dental care and offers a large group education center.

"I found the team to be highly qualified and a pleasure to work with during the design of the facility. They were very knowledgeable of healthcare construction, current trends in building design, and pertinent code requirements. The LEO A DALY team was very responsive to everyone's comments and concerns and did an excellent job of documenting their design assumptions and responses throughout the project.  They developed a schedule in the beginning of the project and were able to meet or exceed the target dates throughout the design phase of the project. I would highly recommend LEO A DALY for future work."
