Client County of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works

South Los Angeles Sheriff Station

Los Angeles, California

LEO A DALY worked with the County of Los Angeles on site selection for the new Sheriff Station, ultimately selecting the 15-acre site in the unincorporated community of Athens Westmont. Master planning services for this site included a 60,000-SF probation department building, a 60,000-SF future county facility, and the 40,000-SF South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station.

The new Sheriff Station provides public spaces, including a community room, detention facilities, dispatch, administration, a detectives’ bureau, and officers’ facilities. In addition, the site contains a vehicle maintenance facility, a fuel island, helistop, surface parking for 30 visitors, and 275 secure parking spaces for officers, staff, and official vehicles.
