The Silversmith Hotel - Downtown Chicago
The historic Silversmith Hotel and Suites, located in the heart of Chicago’s Jeweler’s Row, was renovated utilizing influences from glamorous jewelry and Hollywood’s silver screen. The Adamus Lounge has striking black pearl wall coverings and a custom painting of a sparkling diamond brooch to present a luxuriant atmosphere. The lobby’s space is separated into intimate gathering areas that feature conversational seating designed for comfort and elegance with jewel tones of rose ruby and citron yellow. Over-sized antique necklace-inspired pendants are suspended over the lounge areas, while the bar features a chandelier mimicking a 1920’s style necklace. Swarovski crystals applied to hand-painted wood veneer give a sophisticated look reminiscent of old Hollywood.
Guest rooms contain dramatic contrasts of dark and light, highlighted with jewel tones in accessories such as crystal lamps. High ceilings are accentuated using drapery that extends from ceiling to the top of the window seating in each room. Bathrooms feature a vintage wallpaper pattern set in gray, inspired by the hotel’s historical surroundings.
