The Institute of Genomic Research (TIGR) is a non-profit organization that analyses genomes and gene products. Needing expanded facilities to house research, TIGR purchased adjacent acreage to build a new Pathogenic Functional Resource Center. In addition to research space a central services area was needed while parking influenced the new Center's site placement.
Leo A Daly
assembled a team of focused specialists, each selected to meet unique challenges of this technical client. The team evaluated existing campus structures to determine individual building efficiency, their interrelationships, and employee patterns. The resulting four-story 122,000-SF Pathogen Functional Resource Center completes the campus, housing dry and wet laboratories for investigation of functional genomics in parasitic and bacterial pathogens of human and environmental microbes.
