Leo A Daly, in a joint venture with RLF, was selected by the US Army Corps of Engineers to provide a sustainable, evidence-based, and force-protection compliant hospital design. The new facility includes a 44-bed inpatient hospital, an outpatient clinic, central energy plant, ambulance garage, and a 653-car parking structure. The project contains many features including: Evidence-based design principles, Sustainable design; Antiterrorism/force protection design, Designer/constructor team arrangement; Innovation within DoD criteria, Energy and operational efficiency, Patient- and family-centered care.
The project team diligently worked to attain a LEED® Silver rating certification through enhanced commissioning, recycled materials, energy reduction strategies, daylighting, and regional materials.
