Wishing to make learning more accessible to the work force of southern metropolitan Atlanta, Mercer University recognized a need for a multi-purpose facility specifically designed to accommodate its Extended Education Division. To make it a reality Leo A Daly, the Henry County Development Authority, and Choate Construction Co., together with Mercer University, formed a unique public/private partnership to complete the Regional Academic Center using a design-build project completion system.
Designed to serve an enrollment of 1,000-students, the Center reflects Mercer University's educational environment goals and includes classrooms, a tutorial learning lab, digital and traditional libraries as well as training venue and conference center.
