The Sprague Hall Biomedical Laboratory facility is an 83,000-SF building and is the second research building to be constructed in the Irvine Biomedical Research Center.
This building has flexible modular laboratory components to accommodate evolving and expanding areas of emphasis in biomedical research. It was planned to accommodate faculty in their four areas of research: cancer, genetics, immunology and infectious disease.
This project was delivered using a single-stage design-build contract. The design-build team of Leo A Daly/EHDD Architectural provided a design that exceeded the university's expectations.
