Since 1995, Leo A Daly has been campus architect and master planner for Martin Luther College, which prepares students for ministry.
The college needed a chapel as a physical and spiritual campus center, so we designed a 1,000-seat worship space and 370-seat balcony, both of which are crowned with copper roofs and steeple. The lower level provides additional classroom and choral rehearsal areas and a "link" for meeting space connecting the chapel to administrative and classroom buildings.
As a gift to the college, Leo A Daly prepared a 3-D visualization of the chapel in the context of the entire campus to aid in fundraising.
We have designed facilities from dormitories to a heating plant for the college, but have always worked to maintain the chapel as the most important building on campus.
