To facilitate continued hospital growth, Leo A Daly designed this 4,500-SF cafeteria expansion project, and its additional healing environment/patio, with the patients' overall care, comfort, and well-being in mind.
In keeping with the Mayo Clinic's reputation for providing state-of-the-art medical care in a friendly environment, the cafeteria will feature a "cyber" lounge, sitting areas with plasma television screens, and relaxing water features in the patio area.
In addition to the convenience of more dining options for patients and visitors, the entire space will showcase an aesthetic balance of structural steel, glass walls and other unique materials and textures. It will retain its functionality by incorporating staff dining and conference center facilities.
